What i understood that happens is during the drain, some comes out of the inside passages of the transmisison. once back at P the second time, shut off the engine, re-open the front and top plug, and again re-fill until fluid ocmes out. P, then R, then N, then D, and all the way back up, waiting about 5 to 10 seconds at each spot. Start the engine and go through the gears without moving, twice. put fluid in from the top plug until it comes out the front/side opening. not at the same time as my next oil change, maybe giving it a week between the two.Īs for the level, there is a plug at the front which should be at the correct spot for the level (based on my research, i haven't actulaly checked as it's too cold to go down there right now).
